{"id":14,"date":"2015-07-10T15:41:09","date_gmt":"2015-07-10T15:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stourpaine.info\/villagehall\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2026-07-23T11:34:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T11:34:11","slug":"bookings-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.stourpaine.info\/villagehall\/bookings-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Bookings Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stourpaine Facilities Bookings Policy<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You must indicate the&nbsp;<em><strong>Name of Person<\/strong><\/em> to be present and responsible during the event (if different to \u2018Hirer\u2019).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The person accepting the conditions for hire must be over the age of 21 years and will be held responsible for ensuring that the Conditions of Hire are adhered to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full details of the function should cover&nbsp;&nbsp;its purpose, e.g., wedding, dance, birthday party, charity function, classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both the Village Hall and the Pavilion are licensed to sell alcohol. If you intend to sell or serve alcohol you must state this under \u201c<strong>Special Requirements<\/strong>\u201d on the booking page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time Hall required:  Monday &#8211; Sunday, <strong>no later than 11 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please&nbsp; include any time required for setting up\/clearing away prior to and after your event.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bouncy castles are allowed in the Hall as long as they are provided by a certified specialist company.  We have a wooden floor so extra care is needed.  If you wish to have a bouncy castle please state this in the Special Requirements box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions of Hire<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>The <strong>Conditions of Hire<\/strong> need to be read and understood (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stourpaine.info\/villagehall\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/SVH-Conditions-of-Hire.pdf\">SVH-Conditions-of-Hire.pdf<\/a> ). These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please note that the <strong>maximum number of persons allowed<\/strong> to attend a function in the Hall is <strong>80<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that the use of candles in the main room of the Hall is limited to tea lights, and these must be placed in non-combustible containers. <em><strong>Use of candles<\/strong><\/em> in all other areas of the Hall is <em><strong>prohibited<\/strong> <\/em>and <strong>fireworks<\/strong> are not allowed at Village Hall Functions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Village Hall or Pavilion, nor are they allowed on any grassed areas in and around the playing fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that fees and charges may be subject to change from those published &#8211; please check with the Secretary for latest prices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stourpaine.info\/villagehall\/weekly-diary\/\">Village Hall &amp; Sports Pavilion Bookings<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guide Dogs and Service Animals are obviously welcome but we would ask anyone visiting or booking the Hall or other facilities to inform us if any guide dogs or service animals will be visiting.
